Common Challenges Men Face After Divorce

Loss of Identity: Struggling with “Who am I now?” after the end of a long-term relationship. When the relationship ends, so does the version of you that existed inside it, and that can be hard to recognise - let alone rebuild.

Emotional Turmoil: Managing feelings of anger, guilt, sadness, or resentment. These emotions don’t follow a neat timeline; they hit in cycles, often when you least expect it.

Loneliness and Isolation: Losing shared social circles or feeling disconnected from people who used to be close. It can feel like no one truly gets what you’re going through.

Co-Parenting Stress: Navigating the complexities of parenting under pressure, while managing your own emotional recovery. It’s a constant balancing act between showing up for your kids and holding yourself together.

Financial Adjustments: Facing new financial realities like child support, legal fees, and running two households. The pressure can feel relentless.

Self-Doubt and Confidence Issues: Wondering if you’ll ever feel grounded, stable, or wanted again. The hit to your confidence can bleed into your work, friendships, and sense of self.

Fear of Starting Over: Dating, rebuilding trust, or even living alone can feel like unfamiliar territory. The unknown is uncomfortable, but it doesn’t stay that way.

Anger and Resentment: Holding onto blame and bitterness only delays healing. Staying stuck in it doesn’t change the past, it just slows down your future.

Curious what life could be like beyond divorce? You don’t have to figure it all out alone. Talking is a solid place to start.

What Clients Say

"When I came to my first session with Ina, I had just come out of a four-year relationship with a highly toxic lady. I was heartbroken, confused and did not know what to do with myself. Even within the very first session, Ina made me feel at ease, I felt so safe opening up to her, she is very personable. In every session she listens with empathy and non-judgment, but more than that; she has some amazing insights and life skills, and these have really shifted my mindset into positivity."

Jay H, (Male Age 32)

"I was told about IconicMan Mastery from a friend who knows Ina from a few years’ back. My friend knew I was struggling when it came to dating, I felt too shy to approach girls, I also felt embarrassed because I have had very little experience with girls and dating. I didn’t know what to expect when I enrolled in the IconicMan Mastery program, I just thought it could be worth a try. It has been very eye-opening; I have learnt a lot just halfway into the program. I look forward to the sessions with Ina every week."

Ron T, (Male Age 33)

"Ina is a coach with a golden heart. Her sincerity and positivity shone through at every session we had. She listened as well as sharing her own meaningful life experiences which I could resonate with. I am thankful to have known her."

Wee.S, (Female Age 36)

"Ina is so easy to talk to, I could talk to her all day long! Her sessions are intuitive, and she has a wealth of knowledge and tools in her arsenal to help guide her client to feel calmer and more self-confident. Highly recommend choosing Ina as your consulting coach!"

E.C-P, (Female Age 41)

"Ina has been fantastic for me and totally turned me around. I feel I can discuss anything with her, she won't judge but is a great listener - sharing is a wonderful thing. She will offer wise words and make you look at problems from a different perspective, glass half full and offer alternative ways of dealing with problems. I can't recommend her highly enough."

    Frequently asked questions

How long does it take to get over a divorce?

There’s no set timeline. It can depend on how long you were married, how the relationship ended, and how you process loss. What matters more is consistent progress, not speed.

Only if it’s genuinely healthy. If staying friends delays your healing or stirs up old pain, the best way is no contact, or in case of shared custody –keep it strictly to child arrangements.

Because missing someone isn’t proof they were good for you, it means they were familiar Your brain can crave what’s known, even when it hurt you. Healing means choosing peace over patterns
